The Country Thyme Tea Room has been in business since 1995. What began as a small restaurant on the outskirts of Paxton, Illinois, has grown into a thriving downtown business.

The Tea Room offers comfortable, yet elegant, surroundings for lunch. A full luncheon menu features a variety of homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, hot dish specials, and desserts. Lunch is served Tuesday-Saturday, 11:00am-2:00pm. Reservations are highly encouraged.

Country Thyme Tea Room also offers catering for every occasion, from elegant wedding celebrations to casual picnics in the park. Please contact us directly to discuss your catering event. The catering menu lists suggestions for several food options; however, many selections are not listed but can be made available upon request. We do our best to accommodate any special food dish required.

In addition to catering and serving lunch, the Tea Room is also home to a second-hand store called Thyme for a Change. This shop, located in the same building as the Tea Room, offers high-quality clothing items on consignment. Only "like new" clothing is accepted into the shop, and many visitors enjoy browsing after lunch or teatime.
